First..

Wow, I feel so very nerdy right now.. and strangely also a little cool. This post really has no purpose except to test out what to do here and hopefully the next will be an intriguing and sophisticated commentary on current Australian politics.. hmmm.

Donald, I hope you are feeling better and recovering fast!

ciao, x

Ok, so I've been a bit naughty and haven't been writing as I have been seeing the 'Question Time' programmes. And since (yes, I am aware that you can't begin a sentence with 'and', but this is a blog, right??), it has been a while since I've had the opportunity to watch, I wanted to note a quick observation of our current political scene from other forms of media.
It may be just me, but how quickly did the media change its tune and turn on the Liberal party? Not to say ALL media were slightly biased to the conservative. It seems since the election campaigns have stepped up, that the general main-stream media has pre-judged the election outcome and is prepared to make sure its prediction is right by repeating the same negative aspects of the Liberal party.
Though, it has to be said that Kevin Rudd and his catchy "Kevin '07" phrase is treading carefully and playing the field nicely. Smoothly even.
I don't want to predict anything myself, but I have to say - what was the Prime Minister thinking when he announced Peter Costello as his replacement this week..?
More to come...
Anyway.
